Water was
like a magnet for Matty. Because he always had trouble staying still,
swimming in the water was natural for him. He could wiggle, jump,
or squirm without worrying about bumping or breaking anything. He
was more comfortable in the water than anywhere else.
He would swim in any weather. On a trip to Milwaukee in March, he was angry that his mom wouldn't let him swim in Lake Michigan. He never missed an opportunity to swim in Lake Superior when the family went to Duluth. Matty loved the water. Next page |
