Matt loved to
bowl. As a teenager, he once competed in a "Bowling With The
Pros" tournament and had a higher score than his professional
teammate.
There are very few people who have never seen
his bare rear end. Mooning was one of his specialties.
Matt loved visiting Wall Drug and the Corn Palace
in South Dakota.
It was very difficult for him to stay still.
A special pass was created for him in high school so he could leave
class to go to the IMC when he couldn't sit any longer.
He has visited and/or traveled through the following
states: Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Indiana, Illinois, Nebraska, South
Dakota, North Dakota, Wyoming, Colorado, Montana, Idaho, Utah, Arizona,
New Mexico, Nevada, California, Oregon, Maryland, Virginia, Kansas,
Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas, Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky, Florida and
the District of Columbia.
He could be very chivalrous. He once defended
several girls on the playground who were being teased by some older
boys. The principal reprimanded him for dealing with it himself instead
of calling the playground monitor to handle it. When the same thing
happened with the girls the next day, he called the playground monitor
for help. The principal then reprimanded Matt for tattling.
Matt played the clarinet in the elementary school
band.
Matt had a smile that would light up a room.
He could charm almost anyone.
